CENTRAL INDIAN HONEY – Rooted in Forest Wisdom
Featuring:
- Jamun Honey (Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh)
In the quiet shade of Madhya Pradesh’s forests, bees gather nectar from jamun blooms. This isn’t commercial farming — it’s traditional forest beekeeping, led by tribal communities and guided by nature.
🍇 Jamun Honey | Partner Beekeeper: Omprakash Sahu, 51
Omprakash runs a tribal cooperative that uses log hives high in forest trees. Their jamun honey is mineral-rich, slightly tart, and never heated or over-extracted.
"We don’t use chemicals. Not for bees, not for trees," he insists.
Each jar supports 40+ tribal families and reflects true biodiversity.
📍 Traceable to: Early monsoon bloom, Chhindwara forest zones
This honey doesn’t just taste good — it sustains forest communities, honours indigenous knowledge, and keeps nature in balance.
